<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing apparatus which outputs a two-dimensional video or a three-dimensional video in accordance with various conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The video processing apparatus comprises storage means, detection means, and control means. The storage means stores two-dimensional or three-dimensional output setting appropriate for one or more genres. The detection means detects the genre of an input video signal from genre information.
