<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect flicker while inhibiting increase in an operation amount and deterioration in image quality. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises a frame rate control part 105 setting a frame rate of an image acquired by an imaging element 101 at either of a first or a second frame rate different from each other, a luminance difference calculation part 108 calculates a first luminance difference between two images among a first image group continuously acquired by the imaging element 101 at the first frame rate and a second luminance difference between two images among a second image group continuously acquired by the imaging element 101 at the second frame rate, and a flicker detection part 109 determines whether a flicker of either of a first or second frequency different from each other occurs or both does not occur by comparing the first and second luminance differences with first and second threshold values, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
