<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet discharging apparatus and a cleaning method thereof, which can more efficiently clean a droplet discharge head. <P>SOLUTION: In the droplet discharging apparatus 100, a cleaning liquid 2 fed from a cleaning liquid storage tank is supplied from a first opening 216 into the droplet discharge head 110 through nozzles 118 covered by the first opening 216 while contacting a cleaning head 210 to the droplet discharge head 110.
