<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance amusingness of a game of a game machine that performs a predetermined presentation before a display result is derived and displayed. <P>SOLUTION: When a variable display result is not turned into a "jackpot" despite the execution of a ready-to-win condition or a notice presentation in a mode N or when the ready-to-win condition is not brought about despite the execution of the notice presentation, it is determined whether or not a shift to a mode M is brought. When a "2R probability variation" is achieved in the mode M, a shift to a mode A can be more easily brought than a shift to a mode B in comparison with the case where the "2R probability variation" is achieved in the other presentation modes.
