<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a constant difference between repetition frequencies of two lasers without controlling the repetition frequencies of two lasers independently. <P>SOLUTION: A repetition frequency controller 1 comprises: a slave laser 12 outputting a slave laser optical pulse; a slave photoelectric conversion unit 16 which receives a slave laser optical pulse and converts it into a slave electric signal; a master laser 23 outputting a master laser optical pulse; a master photoelectric conversion unit 26 which receives a master laser optical pulse and converts it into a master electric signal; a frequency change unit 28 which changes the repetition frequency of the master electric signal by a predetermined value; a phase comparator 32 which detects the phase difference from the output of the frequency change unit; and a loop filter 34 which removes the high frequency components of the output from the phase comparator 32. The repetition frequency f1 of the master laser 23 is not subjected to control based on one or both of the master electric signal and the slave electric signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
