<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and an image forming method capable of satisfactorily forming an image even when an image carrier belt is expanded or contracted. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises an image carrier belt 40 for carrying an image developed by a liquid developer containing toner and a carrier liquid, a first roller 41 for winding up the image carrier belt 40, a first tension roller 81 fo applying tension, a second roller 43 for winding up the image carrier belt 40, a transfer roller 61 for transferring an image carried by the image carrier belt 40 to a transfer material in which the peripheral surface has a recess portion 63 and a peripheral surface different from the one in which the recess portion 63 is formed abuts on the second roller 43 through the image carrier belt, a second tension roller 82 for winding up the image carrier belt 40 which is wound on the second roller 43, a detection part 90 for detecting the position of the first tension roller 81 and a control part for adjusting the position of the second tension roller 82 based on information detected by the detection part 90. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
