<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus which permits an X-ray exposure dose for a region of a subject which has high radiation susceptibility to be accurately reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus comprises an acquisition means for acquiring scout data of the subject in the AP direction and the lateral direction, a detection means for detecting the position of the subject in the AP direction by using the acquired scout data in the lateral direction, a specification means for specifying the correct scale of an AP scout image on the basis of the detected position of the subject in the AP direction and the geometrical positional relation of an X-ray source, an X-ray detector and an isocenter, and a control means for controlling the angle range of a gantry angle making X-ray exposure output in collection of projection data smaller than a prescribed level on the basis of the range of the lateral direction specified by an operator on the AP scout image and a specified scale. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
