<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely prevent the breakage of an inner panel by preventing the generation of a stress concentration on the inner panel around a stopper which comes into pressure-contact with a rear wall and stops the forward movement of a door. <P>SOLUTION: The back door device of the vehicle includes: a back door 10 which is formed by the mutual connection of resin-made inner and outer panels 13 and 15, and closes a door opening 9 so as to be opened and closed; a pivotally supporting unit for pivotally supporting the door 10 to the rear wall 4 so that the door 10 can turn upward A, and downward B; and a pair of right and left stoppers 25 and 25 which are projectively provided at right and left corners of a lower end of the inner panel 13 in a forward direction, and come into pressure-contact with the rear wall 4 and elastically stop the further movement of the door 10. A fragile part 52 which extends from the side edge to the lower edge 13e side of a corner of the inner panel 13 in a rear view of a vehicle body 2 is formed.
