<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CATV system capable of transmitting BS and CS digital broadcast by a pass-through system. <P>SOLUTION: A CATV system comprises an existing HFC system and a newly mounted HFC system which is a smaller size cell than the existing HFC. In the newly mounted HFC system, optical fiber transmission paths 61, 62 from a head end 10 to an expansion ONU 70, and a coaxial cable transmission path 43 for connecting between the expansion ONU 70 and each user 50 are newly installed. The expansion ONU 70 includes an R-ONU 71 and a four-output distributor 81. Each branch terminal of the distributor 81 is connected with the user 50 by the coaxial cable transmission path 43. The R-ONU 71 is driven by receiving electric power from the coaxial cable transmission path 40 of the existing HFC system. Thus, the user 50 can receive a terrestrial digital broadcast wave, and a BS and CS digital broadcast wave by a pass-through system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
