<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and an image forming method capable of satisfactorily forming an image even when an image carrier belt is expanded or contracted. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises an image carrier belt 40 for carrying an image developed with a liquid developer, a first detection part 91 for detecting a predetermined position of the image carrier belt 40, a first roller 41 for winding up the image carrier belt 40, a first tension roller 81, a second roller 43, a transfer roller 61 which abuts on the second roller 43 through the image carrier belt 43 and transfers an image carried on the image carrier belt 40 to a transfer material, a second detection part 92 for detecting a predetermined position of the image carrier belt 40, a second tension roller 82 for applying tension to the image carrier belt and a calculation part for calculating a movement time of the image carrier belt 40 until the predetermined position of the image carrier belt 40 is detected by the second detection part 92 since the predetermined position is detected by the first detection part 91. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
