<p>The present invention relates to a method and system to package digital data in a data frame for transmission. A frame boundary is indicated by a predefined reserved character. In order to enable the receiver to reliably detect the frame boundary, the reserved character should not appear in the transmitted payload of the frame. The digital data may include one or more reserved characters. In order that the payload of the data frame will be free of reserved characters, a corrector value is resolved. The corrector value is mathematically applied over all the characters of a payload thereby removing the reserved character from the payload without generating another reserved character. The transformed payload and the corrector value for each data block are then packaged in the data frame and sent to a receiver. The receiver uses the corrector value to reverse the transformation and recover the original payload.</p> |
