In a process to manufacture an automotive windscreen with a three-dimensional profile, a pre-cast sheet of curved windscreen glass is placed on a support. The windscreen is cut out by a laser beam that is followed by a spot cooling assembly. The laser cutting action is a two-stage process followed by separation of the windscreen from the outer margins. |
