<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-wheeled electric vehicle that can be prevented from starting to move at a timing unexpected by a driver. <P>SOLUTION: The two-wheeled electric vehicle includes: front and rear wheels; side wheels vertically movably mounted on both sides of the rear wheel; and suspensions for biasing the side wheels onto a road surface, wherein at least either one of the front and rear wheels is electrically driven. The two-wheeled electric vehicle further includes: a vertical position detection means for detecting a vertical position of the rear wheel; and a drive control means for electric drive control of at least either one of the front and rear wheels based on a result of detection by the vertical position detection means, wherein a biasing force is set for the suspensions so as to space the rear wheel from the road surface when a driver is not riding on the vehicle, the vertical position detection means is configured so as to be able to detect at least either a grounding position with the rear wheel grounded on the road surface or a spaced position with the rear wheel spaced from the road surface, and the drive control means is configured so as to determine whether the rear wheel is spaced from the road surface and determine whether to allow at least either one of the front and rear wheels to be driven. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
