<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine having a new game performance. <P>SOLUTION: The game machine is configured such that various symbols are variably displayed on a display screen of a liquid crystal display device 1400 based on the winning entrance of a game ball into a start pocket opening in a game board 4, and when a combination of symbols displayed after the stop of the variable display corresponds to a jackpot, a jackpot game status is generated, and a jackpot pocket is repeatedly opened and closed within the limit of a predetermined frequency.
