ILLUMINATION STRUCTURE, ILLUMINATION METHOD, AND PORTABLE COMPUTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination structure suitable for keyboard light of a portable computer.

SOLUTION: The illumination structure is structured of transparent acrylic plates 401, a light source 23 and a light guide body 11. Each acrylic plate is provided with a flat surface 401b and a rear surface 401a. The light source is arranged such that an optical axis 100 has an inclined angleθ of nearly a critical angle against a rear surface of the acrylic plate. Then, light beams emitted from the light source are refracted on the light guide body and a translucent panel, and advanced in a direction close to the surface to illuminate an irradiation surface 203.
