<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder storage container in a new structure in which, while preventing leakage or scattering of a powder stored in the container, the powder is surely discharged outside the container, thereby stably discharging or conveying a toner. <P>SOLUTION: A powder storage container includes a container body 138, a nozzle receiving member 139 and an opening/closing member (shutter member) 140. The container body 138 is rotated to convey a powder stored internally from one terminal side 138a to the other terminal side 138b. The nozzle receiving member 139 has a nozzle receiving port (inserting portion) 139a which is disposed within the other terminal side of the container body and into which a conveyer nozzle 162 having a powder receiving port 170 is inserted, and a supply port 139b which is included at least in a part of the nozzle receiving member, for supplying the powder in the container body to the powder receiving port 170. The opening/closing member (shutter member) 140 is supported by the nozzle receiving member 139, is slid and moved by an operation of inserting the conveyer nozzle 162 into the nozzle receiving member 139, and opens/closes the nozzle receiving port (inserting portion) 139a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
