PRODUCTION METHOD OF ELECTRET FINE PARTICLE OR COARSE POWDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of electret fine particles or a coarse powder exhibiting uniform electrification property and excellent electrophoretic property.

SOLUTION: (1) The production method of electret fine particles comprises: emulsifying a fluorine-containing material containing a vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene-tetrafluoroethylene terpolymer in a liquid incompatible with the fluorine-containing material to form emulsified particles; and subjecting the emulsified particles to electron beam irradiation, radiation irradiation or corona discharge. (2) The production method of an electret coarse powder comprises: subjecting a resin sheet containing a vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene-tetrafluoroethylene terpolymer to electron beam irradiation, radiation irradiation or corona discharge to convert the sheet into an electret sheet; and pulverizing the sheet.
