<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a crystalline substance exhibiting high emission intensity and having wide excitation spectrum suitable for white LED. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a crystalline substance is expressed by M<SP POS="POST">1</SP><SB POS="POST">2a</SB>(M<SP POS="POST">2</SP><SB POS="POST">b</SB>L<SB POS="POST">c</SB>)M<SP POS="POST">3</SP><SB POS="POST">d</SB>O<SB POS="POST">y</SB>N<SB POS="POST">x</SB>by firing a raw material mixture containing M<SP POS="POST">1</SP>, M<SP POS="POST">2</SP>, M<SP POS="POST">3</SP>and L once or more times, where at least once of firing is carried out in an atmosphere containing NH<SB POS="POST">3</SB>gas, provided that M<SP POS="POST">1</SP>is at least one selected from alkali metals; M<SP POS="POST">2</SP>is at least one selected from Ca, Sr and Ba; M<SP POS="POST">3</SP>is at least one selected from Si and Ge; L is at least one selected from a rare earth element, Bi and Mn; a is 0.9-1.5; b is 0.8-1.2; c is 0.005-0.2; d is 0.8-1.2; x is 0.001-1.0; and y is 3.0-4.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
