<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system realizing pixel interpolation performance of an oblique line and pixel interpolation performance of a cross line and to provide an image processing method. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing system includes: a vertical correlation processing section calculating an interpolation value between upper and lower pixels to an input pixel and a vertical direction correlation value; a right oblique direction correlation processing section calculating a last correlation value in a right oblique direction to the input pixel; a left oblique direction correlation processing section calculating a last correlation value in a left oblique direction to the input pixel; and an interpolation value calculation processing section selecting a last correlation value in an oblique direction from the last correlation value in the right oblique direction and the last correlation value in the left oblique direction, selecting a last interpolation direction from the vertical direction correlation value and the last correlation value in the oblique direction and determining an output interpolation value from the interpolation value between the upper and lower pixels and a last interpolation value in the oblique direction based on the last interpolation direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
