<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base fabric for a skin-cleaning sheet, which prevents the sheet from twisting at a time of wipe even though a human such as a male adult wipes the skin with strong force, does not cause deformation and break in the sheet even though force is applied, and has such superior water holding properties as to be adequately used as a wet sheet. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing the base fabric for the skin-cleaning sheet comprises the steps of: obtaining a stacked body formed by stacking a pulp fiber layer on one face of a layer of a cellulose short fiber; subsequently making a mesh-like support carry the obtained stacked body and treating the stacked body with a high-pressure water stream to mutually entangle each of the cellulose short fibers, each of the pulp fibers, and the cellulose short fiber and the pulp fiber, and integrate them; and applying a paper-strengthening agent to the integrated stacked body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
