<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical surface treated steel sheet for a fuel tank which can achieve the sacrificial corrosion resistance at the outer face, the corrosion resistance at the inner face and the suppression in the elution of zinc for preventing the clogging at a fuel injection nozzle required for a fuel tank. <P>SOLUTION: In the surface treated steel sheet for a fuel tank, both the sides of a steel sheet are provided with Sn-Zn electroplating layer having chemical components composed of, by mass, 10 to 50% Zn, and the balance Sn with inevitable impurities by 1 to 20 g/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>per side, further, the upper layer only of one side is provided with an Sn plating layer of 0.5 to 10 g/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>, and the upper layer thereof is provided with an Si compound of 1 to 1,000 mg/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>expressed in terms of SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>per side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
