<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus in which the time required for processing for specifying a rotating angle range including a rotating angle in a direction of gradient of luminance can be shortened. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus 100 includes a specification section 101 which specifies a quadrant including a rotating angle in a direction of gradient of luminance, an execution section 102 which executes specification processing for specifying a rotating angle range corresponding to a range of a tangent including an input value out of the rotating angle range included in a basic quadrant and for outputting an output value identifying the specified rotating angle range, a first acquisition section 103 which inputs a basic input value as an input value in the case where the specified quadrant is the basic quadrant, executes the specification processing, and acquires an output value as an identification value identifying a rotating angle range including the rotating angle in the direction of gradient, and a second acquisition section 104 which inputs a value obtained by converting the basic input value as an input value in the case where the specified quadrant is any other auxiliary quadrant than the basic quadrant, executes the specification processing, converts the output value, and acquires the converted output value as the identification value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
