PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve manufacturing efficiency of a cylindrical battery.

SOLUTION: The negative electrode plate 3 includes a punching metal substrate 31, on which a large number of holes are formed; and a negative electrode active material 32 applied and rolled on the punching metal substrate 31. A first shape hole 33 formed on a double-side coating region 3A of the punching metal substrate 31 has a length X1 in a direction (rolling direction X) crossing with a winding direction Y, and a length Y1 in the winding direction Y (direction crossing with the rolling direction X). A second shape hole 34 formed in a single-face coating region 3b of the punching metal substrate 31 has a length X2 in a direction crossing with the winding direction Y, and a length Y2 in the winding direction Y. X1/Y1>X2/Y2 is satisfied.
