<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed switching method of disk image distribution system failover. <P>SOLUTION: A management server 101 distributes a disk image of an in-use server 102 to a standby server 103 in advance. When receiving a failure of the in-use server 102, the management server 101 determines whether the standby server 103 can execute operation of the in-use server 102 based upon operation provision management server information that the management server 101 holds, and makes the standby server 103 executes the operation of the in-use server 102 when the operation can be executed. Even when the previously distributed disk image is different from that of the in-use server 102 to which the failure occurs, the management server 101 makes characteristic information settings again and performs additional installation to the standby server 103 to switch the operation of the standby server 103 faster than redistribution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
