PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform image processing of dynamically enhancing a vertical edge component of an image to be displayed stereoscopically before the display, thereby providing a user with an image easy to be displayed stereoscopically.

SOLUTION: An image processing device 100 is provided with: a vertical edge extraction part 140 which extracts the vertical edge component from an original image before a right eye image and a left-eye image enabling stereoscopic display are generated; and a display control part 150 which composes the extracted vertical edge component to the original image and generates the right eye image and left-eye image from the composed original image.
