<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire extinguishing and fire preventing facility for a fixed roof tank with an internal floating lid, attaining fire extinguishing work without being disturbed by a fixed roof and the floating lid in the fixed roof tank with the internal floating lid, and preventing the occurrence of a fire explosion by setting an atmosphere in the tank outside a range of an explosion limit without a worker working on the tank roof. <P>SOLUTION: In the fire extinguishing and fire preventing facility for the fixed roof tank with the internal floating lid for storing an inflammable and combustible liquid, the floating lid includes a discharge port for discharging inert gas or a foamed bubble fire-extinguishing chemical aqueous solution, and the tank includes an injection port for injecting the inert gas or foamed bubble fire-extinguishing chemical aqueous solution, in a side plate manhole. Since the discharge port and the injection port are connected by a shape retaining flexible tube, even when the floating lid is damaged by an earthquake or the like, or sinks due to the loss of buoyancy to expose a dangerous object, the worker does not need to perform lead-in preparation work for inert gas and fire extinguishing bubbles on the roof, and inert gas and fire extinguishing bubbles are led into the tank without being disturbed by the fixed roof and the floating lid to perform fire extinguishing and fire preventing work. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
