<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To comprehensively reduce an obstruction value to the occupant by making an upper chamber a state of high pressure from the first stage of starting supply of the inflation gas from the inflator. <P>SOLUTION: An airbag 1 is one airbag partitioned into an upper chamber 1c and a lower chamber 1d by means of a partition 1b. In the event of a vehicle collision, the inflation gas is supplied from an inflator 2 to the upper chamber 1c and a lower chamber 1d respectively, and in the state when the upper chamber 1c and the lower chamber 1d are spread out, an adjustment means which raises the internal pressure of the upper chamber 1c higher than the internal pressure of the lower chamber 1d is provided. The adjustment means is whether arranging an exhaust nozzle only in the upper part of the inflator or making the area facing the upper chamber 1c wider than the area facing the lower chamber 1d in terms of total of ejection nozzles of the inflator 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
