<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal machine tool capable of considerably improving precision by correcting spatial precision after stabilizing the swing of a main shaft. <P>SOLUTION: The horizontal machine tool 10 is provided with a ram tension bar 20 configured to correct deflection of a ram 17, a lifting force correction mechanism 30 configured to correct inclination of a saddle 16 by adjusting lifting forces at two position at which the saddle 16 is lifted, a column tension bar 40 configured to correct flexure of a column 14, and a control device configured to control the ram tension bar 20, the lifting force correction mechanism 30, and the column tension bar 40 and at the same time, to have a spatial precision correction function to correct spatial precision by numerical control. The control device corrects only the swing of the tip end of a main shaft 18 using the ram tension bar 20, the lifting force correction mechanism 30, and the column tension bar 40 and at the same time, corrects the deterioration of the spatial precision due to sinking of a bed 11 by using the spatial precision correction function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
