<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately extract influence of a color flare from the color flare occurrence region in a captured image. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing method comprises: an input step of inputting a color image to be processed having been captured by a photographic optical system; a determination step (S191) of determining whether or not color correction has been conducted on a color flare occurrence region in the image to be processed; a restoration step (S192-S195) of restoring a color distribution in the occurrence region to a state prior to the color correction when it is determined that the color correction has been conducted on the occurrence region; and a flare estimation step of estimating influence of the color flare on the occurrence region on the basis of the restored color distribution in the occurrence region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
