<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the lifetime of a backup battery efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: A lifetime detection device 100 for a battery 11 has: a temperature measurement section 14 measuring an internal temperature Tn of the battery 11; a first battery voltage reading section (controller 17) reading a first battery voltage Vr at which a predetermined battery capacitor V at each temperature stored as data is remained, based on the internal temperature Tn; a second battery voltage detector 13 detecting a second battery voltage Vb that is a current battery voltage; a charging section 15 comparing the first battery voltage Vr with the second battery voltage Vb, and when the second battery voltage Vb becomes lower than the first battery voltage Vr, starting the charging of the battery 11; a the-number-of-charging accumulation storage section 183 accumulating the number of charging C for the battery 11; and a lifetime determination section (controller 17) determining the lifetime of the battery 11 from the number of charging C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
