<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mutant-10 sequence variants that retain the therapeutically desirable anti-inflammatory properties of wild-type IL-10 but do not retain the hemoatopoeitic cell regulatory activity and cell proliferative activity. <P>SOLUTION: The invention provides a mutant IL-10 polypeptide wherein the residue present at a position corresponding to amino acid position 129 is replaced with another amino acid, a composition including the mutant IL-10 polypeptide, and a method for treating diseases involving inflammatory response, including neuropathic pain and other neurological disorders using the composition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
