<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing the deterioration of image quality. <P>SOLUTION: The control unit of the image forming apparatus 1 controls an inkjet head unit 4 using the detection output of a paper sensor 5 and moving quantity information generated by a moving quantity detection sensor 6, and also controls the switching of the quantity of light emitted from the light source of an imaging part of the moving quantity detection sensor 6 from the light emission quantity for a conveying belt to the light emission quantity for paper at predicted timing when the tip of the paper P reaches the imaging target position, and from the light emission quantity for the paper to the light emission quantity for the conveying belt at predicted timing when the trailing end of the paper P reaches the imaging target position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
