PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical component capable of forming a shielding part with excellent environmental friendliness and high mass productivity.

SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing an optical component, a shielding part is formed by a printing step in which a metal quantum dot is used as a printing material to print a shape corresponding to the shielding part on an optical member and a sintering step in which after the printing step, the optical member and a printing part having a shape corresponding to the shielding part are heated to sinter the printing part.
