The lamp has groups of LEDs attached to a circuit board (4), where the LEDs are connected in series. Current input contacts (5) are connected with inputs of a polarity reversal circuit (7) e.g. high-frequency rectifier, connected between the input contacts and the groups of the LEDs. The circuit includes current outputs (8) connected with the groups of the LEDs. The current outputs pass current according to polarity of a power supply connected with the input contacts in an unvaried manner, or interchange the polarity of the current outputs against the inputs.
