PURPOSE: An electronic device and a software update method are provided to update software included in a communication unit without separation of the electronic device. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(10) includes software for communication with outside. A first storing unit(30) stores fixed user information in an electronic device. A controlling unit(60) inputs an update command of the software through a user input unit. The controlling unit performs update of the software.
