摘要 A battery protection circuit of a hybrid motor controller and a protecting method thereof are provided to reduce a code quantity and a work load by acquiring various values by substituting a function value through a PI(Proportional and Integral) control loop process using a loss function. A battery protection circuit of a hybrid motor controller includes a loss calculation unit(314), a multiplier(310), an adder(318), PI controllers(324a,324b), and a limiter(302). The loss calculation unit(314) receives a current command, a loss function, and a rotation number of a motor. The loss calculation unit(314) calculates a loss of an inverter and a motor. The multiplier(310) calculates mechanical power by multiplying the rotation number by a torque command inputted in an HCU(Hybrid Control Unit). The adder(318) calculates electric power by adding the mechanical power calculated in the multiplier(310) to the loss calculated in the loss calculation unit(314). The PI controllers(324a,324b) calculate a driving torque limit value and a generation torque limit value based on a value that battery power fed back from the adder(318) is subtracted from a power limit value and a charging power limit value outputted from a BMS(Battery Management System) through PI control. The limiter(302) limits a torque command through the driving torque limitation value and the generation torque limitation value.
