<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus and a printing method which can clearly print in a state of a prescribed tension being applied to an adhesive sheet while reducing a load applied to a raw roll and a driving apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The printing apparatus 1 includes: first feeding means 23, 24 for feeding the raw roll R constituted of a band-like adhesive sheet S temporarily adhered to a band-like release sheet RL in one direction and in another direction; a bypassing means 3 for releasing the release sheet RL from the adhesive sheet S and bypassing it; a printing means 4 for printing on an adhesive agent layer AD of the exposed adhesive sheet S; a temporary readhering means 7 for temporarily readhering the adhesive sheet S to the release sheet RL; and second feeding means 93, 94 for feeding the raw roll R having the adhesive sheet S temporarily readhered thereon in the one direction and the other direction. The first and second feeding means 23, 24, and 93, 94 include driving devices 23, 93, respectively for feeding the raw roll R, and control driving torque of the driving devices 23, 93 to apply the prescribed tension to the adhesive sheet S with the release sheet RL bypassed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
