<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of suppressing the occurrence of stripes when molding and to provide a method for manufacturing molded articles. <P>SOLUTION: The recording device, which discharges a functional liquid as droplets from the recording head to the recording medium based on drawing data and forms an image on the recording medium while moving a recording head in a main-scanning direction and moving a recording medium in a sub-scanning direction crossing the main-scanning direction, includes: an arrangement deciding means for deciding the arrangement of the image relative to the recording medium such that the main-scanning direction coincides with the first direction or the second direction, whichever is larger in extension ratio, based on the extension ratios in the first direction and the second direction of the molded article constituted by forming the recording medium in which the image is formed; and a drawing data-generating means for generating the drawing data base on the arrangement of the decided image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
