PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform communication efficiently in a transmitter that transmits a signal by an STBC system or DSTBC system.

SOLUTION: A transmitter transmitting a signal by an STBC system or DSTBC system has a structure using a frame in which a synchronous word is allocated to a prescribed position. The transmitter has encoding means for encoding the whole frame including the synchronous word of the frame to be a transmission object by the STBC system or DSTBC system. A communication system or communication method for communicating the signal by the STBC system or DSTBC system can also be implemented.
