<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new ethylene polymerization catalyst excellent in polymerization activity, catalyst particle properties and powder particle properties, and producible of ethylene-based polymer particles excellent in balance of durability and rigidity and in impact resistance, moldability and melt fluidity; a method for producing an ethylene-based polymer using the same; and an ethylene-based polymer and ethylene-based polymer particles obtained by the method and having excellent1 powder particle properties, melt fluidity, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The ethylene polymerization catalyst is a chromium catalyst obtained by supporting a chromium compound (b) on an inorganic oxide carrier (a) in a state where at least part of the chromium atoms become hexavalent, and further supporting an organoaluminum compound (c). The inorganic oxide carrier (a) has a particle structure in which most of the inorganic oxide exists more on the catalyst particle surface in a concentrated state rather than on the inside of the catalyst particles, and the organoaluminum compound (c) exists on the surface of the inorganic oxide carrier (a) in concentrated manner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
