<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable device for setting a setting state after disconnection with a host device to a setting state according to user intention. <P>SOLUTION: An SP-operating system 15 of a smart phone 1 holds in a setting backup table 191, a setting state of each setting item at the time of connection with an in-vehicle device 2, and registers in a setting change history table, a change history of the setting state of each setting item generated while connected with the in-vehicle device 2 along with identification information that indicates whether the change is made by the user operation of a user or not. Then, the SP-operating system 15 refers to the setting backup table 191 and the setting change history table 192 at the time of disconnection with the in-vehicle device 2.
