<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a texture evaluation device and a texture evaluation method by which the entire area where many irregularities are repeatedly formed on the surface of an object can be evaluated. <P>SOLUTION: A texture evaluation device 1 includes: a three-dimensional measurement part 2; an input part 3 to which measurement data is input from the three-dimensional measurement part 2; an operation part 4 which performs generation of a distance image, etc.; and a display part 6 which displays an evaluation result. The three-dimensional measurement part 2 measures a distance to the surface of an object 10, and outputs the measured distance value to the input part 3 as measurement data. The operation part 4 includes a distance image generation part 41 which uses the distance value input to the input part 3 from the three-dimensional measurement part 2 to generate a distance image using the distance value as a pixel value. The operation part 4 further includes: a feature amount calculation part 42 which obtains distribution of measure representing the shapes of the irregularities of a texture for the entire distance image to calculate a statistic amount of the distribution as a feature amount; and an evaluation part 43 which evaluates the texture based on the calculated feature amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
