The guide vane assembly (1) has housing contour ring sections (10), hub contour ring sections (9) and axial vanes (4), between which blade channels (5) are formed, which are limited by the housing contour ring sections and the hub contour ring sections. The housing contour ring sections or the hub contour ring sections are provided with additional material on its sides facing the blade channels. An independent claim is also included for a method for fine adjustment of the swallowing ability of a guide vane assembly.
