PURPOSE: A rotary electric machine is provided to reduce wind noise come from interference between a rotor and the inner circumference of coil end group by suppressing unevenness of the inner circumference of the coil end group. CONSTITUTION: A rotor(8) is rotatably supported on a housing(4). A stator(20) is supported on the housing to surround the rotor. The housing is composed of a front bracket(2) and a rear bracket(3). A shaft(6) is rotatably supported on the housing through a bearing(5). A pair of slip rings(12) supplies current to the rotor. A rectifier converts alternating current generated from the stator to direct current.
