<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device management program, a device management system and an information processing apparatus which can reduce the limitation of use of a device accompanying firmware update. <P>SOLUTION: When there are two or more printers in addition to a target printer, and they can perform printing processing (S50:YES), PC1 starts updating the firmware of the printer (S60). When there is only one printer available or there is no printer available (S50:NO), updating is suspended (S90) to prevent a situation where the number of printers capable of performing printing processing becomes one or below. Further, when updating is finished and there is a printer ready for operation (S150:YES), updating the printer whose updating has been suspended is started (S210) so long as updating terminates normally (S160:YES) and the printer operates normally (S180:YES). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
