<p>The method involves establishing a communication connection e.g. near field connection, between an electronic health insurance card (122) and a reader device (110) by a radio frequency identification process. A user of the insurance card is authenticated against the insurance card. A user identification is input at the reader. A request for remote monitoring of the user identification is transmitted from the reader to the insurance card. The remote monitoring is executed by the insurance card. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a health insurance card comprising a near field wireless interface (2) a reader comprising a near field wireless interface (3) a computer program product for performing a communication method for an electronic health insurance card.</p> |
