[Also in Divisions B7 and F2] A ball joint connecting the kingpin support of a motor vehicle to a suspension arm is provided with a flexible mounting comprising elastic blocks 7, 8 secured between a housing 5, 6 on the suspension arm and a socket 13<SP>1</SP> for a ball 13 secured to the kingpin support. The blocks 7, 8 are bonded to frames 10, 11 rigid with the socket 13<SP>1</SP> and to frames 9, 12 rigid with the housing 5, 6, or are bonded directly to the socket and the housing. In Fig. 5 the ball comprises a hemispherical portion 113 and a spherical segment 117 and the socket is formed of two half-shells 113<SP>1</SP> , 113<SP>2</SP>. |
