In a swivelling joint for connecting a branch to a main of the kind in which a ferrule 1 is screwed into the main, and has clamped thereover a banjo-type socket 3 by a cap-nut 4 screwing on to the ferrule, the joint faces of the ferrule, socket, and nut have annular grooves into which the material of the resilient washers 9, 10 is compressed. The flanges 1<SP>1</SP>, 4' of ferrule and nut fit loosely within the socket openings. Specification 326,114, [Class 99 (i)], is referred to. |
