PURPOSE: A traffic signal lamp system in cross roads using the image camera is provided to flexibly operate a signal system according to the traffic status by sensing traffic congestion near intersections on a real time basis. CONSTITUTION: A traffic light(10) is set up to emit green, red and yellow signal lights. An image sensing camera(20) is set up with a traffic light to record an entering vehicle to an intersection. A vehicle sensing device measures a traffic volume of entering vehicles to the intersection. The vehicle sensing device includes a vehicle sensing device(31) and image board. A controller(40) controls the traffic light to choose a proceed signal or stop signal. A telecommunication unit(50) supplies the received information of a stolen vehicle to the controller.
