PURPOSE: A circuit protection device and a controller are provided to generate a plasma column through a plasma gun by transmitting a signal to the plasma gun. CONSTITUTION: A circuit protection device(100) comprises a plasma gun, one or more capacitors, and a trigger circuit. The plasma gun generates a plasma column. The capacitors store electric energy. The trigger circuit is connected to the plasma and the capacitors and communicates with the plasma gun and the capacitors. The trigger circuit transmits a first signal to the capacitors and allows the capacitors to transmit a part of the electric energy to the plasma gun.
